    ML Conference Checking $307,268.47
    Bank of Hawaii $6,148.44
    Petty Cash $50.00
    CD Investments $100,000.00
    TOTAL: 413,466.91

    Total Income $112,419.76
    Total Expenses $102,270.17
    Rolling Balance $10,149.59
    • Reinvested $25,000 into a 1-yr CD investment at 0.65% interest with Merrill Lynch.
    • Transferred $10,000 from the ML account to the Bank of Hawaii account to accommodate for WEFTEC expenses and Taryn’s transition.
    • Emailed Ieva Bytautaite and declined to participate in his interview regarding the plastic bag ban bill since we are not experts on the subject. According to Lance, WEF had replied that it is more of a solid waste issue and they do not have an official position on it. Forwarded Ieva to Kahi Paccaro of Sustainable Coastlines or Surfrider Foundation since both organizations were involved in the bill process.
    • Submitted a change of organization name to USPS for the PO Box contact information from Hawaii Pollution Control Association to HWEA.
    • Susan Lambert of AECOM was approved by her management to become our next bookkeeper. Shannon has worked with her for 3 years and said she would be a good fit. All were in agreement to bring Susan on so Audrey will inform Taryn and plan to meet with them both.
    • Robin Knox of Maui reached out via Facebook and inquired about getting more active with HWEA on Maui. Contacted Eassie and he is interested in starting a HWEA chapter for the outer islands and is willing to get in contact with Robin and others. This will require that they have a minimum of 10 active members and submit a constitution and bylaws to the board for approval. They should also draft a budget. Audrey will email outer-island members and forward them Eassie’s contact info
