Every year at WEFTEC, the Operator Ingenuity Contest awards operators who find simple, applicable solutions to everyday problems. WEFTEC® 2019 hosted the eighth annual Operator Ingenuity Contest awards ceremony on Sept. 25. In 2019, seven new winners joined the ranks of the nearly 50 other fixes that made people’s jobs easier and safer.
HWEA is one of the 17 member associations that make up the Hawaii Council of Engineering Societies (HCES). HCES has been in existence since 1965 and is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year. HCES publishes the monthly Wiliki magazine and coordinates the annual Engineers Week activities in Hawaii, with each organization responsible for specific tasks.
