CE Undergraduate Research Funding on Wastewater for AY 2018-19
The Hawaii Water Environment Association (HWEA) will provide funding up to $3000 to support Civil Engineering undergraduate research projects on wastewater topics supervised and approved by an engineering faculty for the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semesters. The student or students, working with faculty, must prepare a three-page research proposal and email to the HWEA Research Committee for possible approval.
All students receiving funding will be required to participate as poster presenters in the HWEA/AWWA Pacific Water Conference at the Hawaii Convention Center on February 20-21, 2019. This will be a project description and any preliminary results and findings – the project(s) are not expected to be completed for this poster. Students are also encouraged to present their poster at the College of Engineering Annual Banquet (late April 2019). See the full application more information.
The deadline for the proposal submission is 4:30 pm on Monday, October 15, 2018.

Call for Proposals for Funding of Projects/Activities by HWEA for FY 2019
Do you have an idea for a community project or program but are not sure how to fund it? HWEA is looking for bold, innovative ideas for new project and activities for FY 2019. HWEA will provide funding up to a total of $60,000 to support projects or activities consistent with its mission/goals that would benefit the association and/or its members. There are few limits on possible winning ideas. Multi-year proposals will also be considered.
The deadline for the proposal submission is 4:30 pm on Thursday, November 15, 2018.
